About the Role

The Pre-Sales Specialist will have an industrial background and will work with our customers to help them better understand how to apply and utilize Data Science and Advanced Analytics to improve their operations. This individual will collaborate with the highly experienced analytical practitioners at Canvass to demonstrate the platform's powerful end-to-end analytical capabilities to our customers and partners. 

 

The right candidate will have an industrial background with a track record of building a sales pipeline and turning a lead into a sale. The individual will be well versed in industrial automation, understand solution selling, and be results driven with a record of exceeding sales targets. 

Requirements:

  • Experience with manufacturing/industrial settings 

  • Experience with the IoT market and able to discuss IT and OT strategy with customers 

  • Ability to facilitate and lead Industrial AI workshops; develop AI journey and roadmap for our customers 

  • Develop account plans and establish individual sales strategies for each account 

  • Provide feedback to leadership team on industry trends, key customer and strategic partner activities 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering and/or Business or equivalent industry experience 

  • Minimum of 5 year’s technical or sales experience  

  • Understands technology and how projects are implemented to value sell 

  • Well versed in a customer facing environment and will have sold directly to end customers or support role 

  • Self-starter and adept at securing and growing high value accounts 

  • Excellent communications, organizational and customer focused skills 

  • Ability to sell solutions (product and services) 

  • In-depth knowledge of industrial applications 

  • Ability to travel with no restrictions 

  • Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada, possess a valid passport and be able to travel.
