Due to organizational growth, a Talent Engagement Specialist is required for our Toronto office. This newly created position will be responsible for full lifecycle Recruitment activities for the entire organization as well as collaborating with the HR Consultant to execute and administer HR functions such as, but not limited to: Performance Management, Benefits, Compensation, and Training and Development. Developing the Recruitment infrastructure and Workforce Planning, attracting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checking and onboarding candidates for all positions will be the primary focus of this role. This role will have the opportunity to participate in hybrid work including a requirement to work both onsite and remotely.

MAKE AN IMPACT!

1. Source and secure appropriate candidates for all required roles within aggressive timelines on an ongoing basis to meet hiring needs of all departments. A large number of positions across Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, Sales, and Administration are expected to be filled in 2022.

2. In collaboration with the Executive Team and the HR Consultant, develop and implement Recruitment and Selection best practices with respect to templated, documented processes and policies to build the Company’s Recruitment and Selection infrastructure to handle current and future needs.

3. In collaboration with the Executive Team and HR Consultant, support the development of the HR infrastructure in a variety of functional areas.

HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

• 3 Year college diploma in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline.
• 5 – 7 years of experience in a Generalist role with Senior Recruitment expertise for at least 3 years, with responsibility for full life cycle recruitment required.
• Experience in a mid-size technology firm with an Engineering focus is ideal.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required to influence and/or motivate internal and external stakeholders as well as exchange important information
• Established professional networker and able to build impactful relationships with variety of people at all levels of internal and external organizations
• Familiarity with marketing concepts and principles to create and execute engaging and effective recruitment campaigns
• Demonstrated superior candidate sourcing techniques to attract and fill competitive positions in an industry and market talent war
• Superior work ethic and commitment to getting the job done, no matter what
• Emotionally intelligent and able to manage self and others effectively while navigating emotionally charged work situations (such as candidate assessments and job offer negotiations)
• Expertise administering and analyzing selection assessments such as PPA or DISC, considered an asset
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills needed to drive business results in the area of Recruitment and Selection and keep pace with Executive Team including CEO
• Experience creating, implementing, and leading fulsome Workforce Planning activities
• Collaborative team player, able to work well and bring people together while delivering results as an individual contributor
• Sound knowledge and experience using HR best practices, programs and policies related to Performance Management, Compensation/Benefits, Training and Development and Employee Engagement required.
