Reporting to the Director of Product Management, the Instructional Designer’s role is to own the customer education efforts for our Industrial AI. In collaboration with our internal subject matter experts, you will create engaging multi-media educational experiences for our clients within our self-paced online learning portal and track their effectiveness. The role includes collaborating with Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Success personnel to develop quality online material that supports active learning of the Canvass AI Platform.

  • Scope, design and develop course content, provide eLearning guidance, and liaison with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop customer education programs, presentations, and facilitation guides
  • Ensure all e-Learning materials meet company standards and learner needs
  • Develop and prepare course materials; prepare content briefs and edit content written by subject matter experts, direct and edit videos and voice overs, create branching scenarios, storyboards and scripts
  • Manage our Docebo Learning Management System (LMS) and establish design standards, completion records and reporting
  • Define and implement success measures for the Canvass AI customer education program
  • Create and manage reporting mechanisms to track compliance, learning objectives and key metrics
  • Work with relevant team members to create onboarding courses and learning journeys for new team members and customers, as required
  • Support Product, Customer Success, Sales teams to drive customer education efforts, as needed
  • Collaborate with the Product team to enhance user guidance across the Canvass platform

Your key deliverables are as follows:

1.  By Month 3,

Content Development

a.  Use pre-identified learning paths to create customer education courses for prioritized product features

b.  Create a backlog of any unaddressed product features where content may be nice-to-have

c.  Support the development of user guidance across the Canvass AI platform

LMS Implementation and Management

a.  Launch Canvass AI Academy 2.0 using Docebo LMS

b.  Identify opportunities to connect Canvass AI Academy to Canvass AI platform for a cohesive user experience

c.   Create an evaluation metric to support customer education efforts

2.  By Month 6,

Content Development

a.  Identify new learning paths, wherever necessary

b.  With key stakeholders, identify prioritized content needed for the learning personas

c.  Support the development of user guidance across the Canvass AI platform

LMS Management

a.  Evaluate the success of courses developed to support customer education efforts

b.  Evaluate if learning paths or personas need to be refined for a closer fit with product goals and market needs

3.  Ongoing,

a.  With key stakeholders, create content for newly developed features

b.  Support the development of user guidance across the Canvass platform

c.  LMS Management

d.  Feedback tracking



  • Adult Education/ Instructional Design/ Instructional Technology, Learning Design, Learning Development certification, diploma or degree
  • 2 - 4 years’ work experience in curriculum development/ online course development for customer education
  • Experience with LMS (Docebo) Administration is preferred
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of eLearning authoring tools, such as Rise360, Lectora Online, Gomo, Vyond, EasyGenerator, Captivate
  • Possess a strong portfolio of e-learning and/or video work with instructional design examples that showcase strength in visual and graphic design (please be prepared to share)
  • Strong data literacy and a track record of using data and experimentation to drive decisions
  • Inspired and skilled to lead with autonomy and create compelling content.
  • Skilled at delivering high quality work, in a fast-paced start-up atmosphere
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including training content development and presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of forming successful relationships and collaborating with colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Proactive thinking, constantly seeking improvement opportunities in work and the ability to simplify complex information
  • Excellent listening and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with constant change and a rapidly growing team
