Role:

As a communications manager, you will support the growing marketing team at Canvass. As part of your role, you will help drive brand awareness, fuel customer and revenue growth, and grow our business globally. This position reports to VP-Marketing.

Location: Toronto, Ontario or remote

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a driven and motivated communications manager to join our rapidly growing team. If you love creating engaging content and never want two days to be the same – then this may be just the opportunity you are looking for. As communiCcations manager, expect to: 

  • Work closely with our Communications Director with a dotted line into the Global Marketing organization to scale Canvass’s content across a range of channels  
  • Develop and execute a highly integrated communications strategy to build awareness of our brand and platform through media and analysts houses that articulate our mission and values, and supports our aggressive business goals.
  • Execute customer communications strategy by developing engaging content that increases platform utilization and customer loyalty.  
  • Manage the relationship with our PR agency, continuously pressure testing their strategies and maximizing their output.
  • Collaborate with our product, sales, partners, customer success, and executive teams on a multitude of integrated communications initiatives and continuously identify storytelling opportunities.
  • Develop content that is compelling for our target audiences, including videos, blogs, podcasts, event presentations, and social media engagement.  
  • Seek new methods and creative strategies to increase internal awareness of key events and changes across the organization including new product launches, milestones, special events etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:  
  • 5-7 years experience in corporate communications, marketing communications or content marketing  
  • Industrial/manufacturing experience is desired but not required
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to write effectively for different audiences and channels
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and adapting quickly and flexibly to change.
  • Excellent organization, communication, writing and presentation skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Highly collaborative with experience working cross functionally across multiple levels, regions, functions, and regions.
